BASIC FUNCTION:
The Youth Minister is responsible for coordinating a comprehensive ministry involving
students in Junior High and High School.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP:
The Youth Minister reports directly to the Pastor.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To be willing to work as a team member along with the pastor, leadership and students at First
Baptist Church.
2. Attend all services of First Baptist Church
3. Work with existing leadership in the leading, planning and carrying out of Sunday School.
4. Work with existing leadership in the leading, planning and carrying out of Wednesday night
activities.
5. Attend youth camp as a sponsor.
6. Maintain a personal contact with First Baptist students throughout the year.
7. Work with existing leadership in planning and coordinating student outreach activities.
8. Work with existing leadership in any other student activities that are planned, such as Bible
studies, fellowships, and recreational activities.
9. Each week should consist of a minimum of 10 work hours for the ministry of the church.
10. Assist in other church activities as asked by the pastor.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Growing spiritually: Seeking God’s leadership and power to daily move in your life.
2. Cooperative: Willing to work within existing channels to carry out events.
3. Responsible: To coordinate summer student activities and prepare for the events.
4. Loving: Able to show Christian concern for all students while maintaining order and
discipline.

Salary: $1000 per month plus reimbursable expenses
