First Baptist Crawford is looking for a new team member! We are thankful for the team of
volunteers who currently coordinate our children’s ministry. The church body is praying towards
hiring a staff member who will lead this team of volunteers in discipling our children to begin
and grow in their relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Equipping the saints (Eph. 4:11-13) will
be a primary role for this person. They should display characteristics and habits of a devoted
Christian along with the capacity to lead other Christians.
Relationally, this role will consist of: discipling parents, fostering community among church
families, encouraging and equipping for at-home family discipleship, advocating for families in
need & community newcomers, growing our connection with Crawford Elementary, serving as a
consistent, model teacher in children’s discipleship opportunities, and offering opportunities for
growth to those who teach children.
Logistically, this position will coordinate: weekly curriculum set-up & volunteer coordination
(Children’s Church, Sunday School, Wednesday night discipleship), coordinating larger events
(Preteen Camp, VBS), coordinating smaller events (town parade floats, Trunk-or-treat, and other
seasonal events as desired), and being attentive to facility or supply concerns that may arise.
This person will join a team of enthusiastic believers in our church body consisting of many lay
volunteers as well as several other paid staff.
Salary negotiable based on experience.
