JOB DESCRIPTION – EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Position: Director of Tri-Cities Ministries
Reports To: Board of Tri-Cities Ministries
Supervises: Staff and Volunteers of Tri-Cities Ministries
General Description: Tri-Cities Ministries is a faith-based, interdenominational network of
churches who join together in Christian love to care for our communities in the Bellmead/Lacy
Lakeview/Elm Mott area. The Director will have overall strategic and operational responsibility
for Tri-Cities Ministries volunteer staff, interns, programs, expansion, and execution of its
mission.
Responsibilities:
Board Governance: Works with the Board of Directors to fulfill the organization’s mission.
• Responsible for leading Tri-Cities Ministries in a manner that supports and guides the
organization’s mission as defined by the Board of Directors.
• Responsible for communicating effectively with the Board of Directors and providing, in
a timely and accurate manner, all information necessary for the Board to function
properly and to make informed decisions.
Financial Performance and Viability: Develops resources sufficient to ensure the financial
health of the organization.
• Responsible for the fiscal integrity of Tri-Cities Ministries, to include submission to the
Board a proposed annual budget and monthly financial statements, which accurately
reflect the financial condition of the organization.
• Responsible for fiscal management that generally anticipates operating within the
approved budget, ensures maximum resource utilization, and maintenance of the
organization in a positive financial position.
• Responsible, together with the Board of Directors, for fundraising and developing other
resources necessary to support Tri-Cities Ministries’ mission.
Organization Mission and Strategy: Works with Board, volunteer staff, and interns to ensure
that the mission is fulfilled through programs, strategic planning, and community outreach.
• Responsible for implementation of Tri-Cities Ministries’ programs that carry out the
organization’s mission.
• Responsible for strategic planning to ensure that Tri-Cities Ministries can successfully
fulfil its mission into the future.
• Responsible for the enhancement of Tri-Cities Ministries image by being active and
visible in the community and by working closely with other professional, civic, and
private organizations.
Organization Operations: Oversees and implements appropriate resources to ensure the
operations of the organization are appropriate.
• Responsible for effective administration of Tri-Cities Ministries’ operations.
• Responsible for the hiring and retention of competent, qualified staff.
• Responsible for signing all notes, agreements, and other instruments made and entered
into and on behalf of the organization.
Job Qualifications:
Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, preferred Master’s Degree.
Experience: Preferred experience in Ministry and/or Social Work.
Skills:
• Fundraising
• Budget management
• Leadership, strategic planning, and management
• Strong written and oral communication and public speaking
• Bilingual preferred
• Proficiency in the use of computers for word processing, financial management, e-mail
Physical Standards:
• Ability to lift or move objects up to 25 pounds
• Ability to travel independently

Employment at Will: Employee and Employer agree that Employee is an at will employee of
Employer; that the term of Employee’s employment with Employer is for an indefinite period of
time; and that Employer may terminate Employee at any time, with or without cause, and
Employee may terminate his or her employment with Employer at any time, with or without
cause.
Benefits: As outlined in Tri-Cities Ministries’ Personnel Policy Manual
Starting Salary: $40,000 per year
