Job Description
Performs administrative and office support activities for the Senior Pastor and staff of the First Baptist Church of Robinson.
FBCR is seeking an individual who desires to engage in the thriving community of our church through professional interactions, demonstrating a posture of lifelong learning, spiritual maturity, and Christ-like character.
This position is responsible for providing administrative coordination for the Senior Pastor as well as peripheral staff through managing processes related to event planning, calendaring, planning meetings, budget, payroll, contributions, and implementing communication with various groups both internal and external to the Church. This position requires performing all duties with a high degree of confidentiality, discretion, and judgment as this person represents FBCR to a wide range of constituents. This position will be required to continually multitask, as this person may be the first point of contact for FBCR (phone calls, walk-ins, emails).
Duties include:
• Producing information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics.
• Managing and organizing the schedule for the Senior Pastor by coordinating appointments with church members, staff, committees, guests, as well as speaking engagements.
• Maintaining FBCR’s appointment schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, Zoom calls, and travel.
• Providing administrative support for the Senior Pastor and the Church Treasurer which includes accounts payable, payroll, payroll tax filing, directing calls, managing schedules, making office-related purchases, and developing and maintaining applications, files, and processes for FBCR programs.
• Taking minutes when necessary and accurately enter data.
• Placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.
Position Requirements:
• Proficient in Zoom, Google Suite of applications and programs, Microsoft Office, Word, Power Point, and Excel.
• Capacity to quickly learn the FBCR database (Church Teams) management, as well as the the financial (Quick Books) and payroll (Medlin) software.
• Attention to details with initiative and flexibility.
• Understanding of committee planning and event management.
• Proficiency in Grammar.
• Strong computer and Internet research skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well with all levels of internal staff, church members, visitors, and vendors.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload.
• Sensitivity to confidential matters required.

Hours and Salary

20 hours/week
$14.00 – $17.00/hour
